Do I need an account to order?
No. As a shopper you can browse and buy as a guest — just your name, phone and payment. The account is only for farmers who want to sell.
Can I just show up at a farm I see on the map?
No — the map only shows an approximate location, so you can discover farms near you or on your route. It's not an invitation to show up unannounced. Buy a box first, and the exact pickup address, directions and the farmer's phone number are unlocked straight away, along with the pickup time the farmer has set.
How do I get my box?
Each farmer chooses: collect at the farm gate, pick it up at a market stand, or home delivery. With delivery you can message the farmer to agree exactly where and when. You collect or receive your order at the time the farmer sets — please be there on time.
How do I confirm I got my order?
You don't tap anything — you just collect your box. Your receipt shows a pickup code. At handover, check your produce on the spot and read the code to the farmer. The farmer enters it in their app, which releases the payment to them. If you never collect, payment is released to the farmer 24 hours after pickup, so a farmer who has prepared your box is never left unpaid.
Who is responsible for experiences (LOVEFEST, tastings, kids' days)?
The farmer who hosts them. Experiences and events are created, run and supervised entirely by the farmer, including safety, insurance and any age limits (e.g. 18+ for alcohol tastings). Farmer's Choice connects you but does not organise or supervise experiences. By using the app you accept this — see our
Terms.
How does payment work?
You pay first, securely, with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut. Your money is then held safely — the farmer is not paid yet. They prepare your box, and only when you collect it and the farmer enters your pickup code (or 24 hours pass) is the farmer's share released. It protects both sides: payment is released only for a box that was actually handed over, and the farmer is always paid for a box they've prepared.
What if something's wrong with my order?
Check your box at pickup. If you and the farmer agree it can't be handed over — a quality issue, a no-show or a mix-up — the farmer refunds you in full on the spot, straight back to the card or account you paid with. You'll get a confirmation email automatically, and it usually lands within a few business days. Because the farmer is only paid after pickup, no money is stuck in between.
Can I cancel a subscription?
Yes — anytime. If you subscribe to a farmer's box, you get a profile in the app under "My orders" with a "Turn off" button on each subscription. Tap it and no future deliveries are charged.
Can I talk to the farmer?
Yes. Once you've ordered, a real chat with that farmer opens in the app — message them about timing, pickup or any questions, or call directly. The farmer replies whenever they have time; there's no live agent or bot on the other end.
I lost my confirmation email or pickup code — what do I do?
No problem. Open Farmer's Choice → Profile → "Find my order" and enter the same email address you used to order. Your order(s), farm details and pickup code will come right back up — on any device, no account or password needed.
I'm a farmer — how do I start selling?
Open the app, tap “List your farm”, and set up in a few minutes: add a photo, pick your category, build your boxes, set price, pickup days and your bank details. Your 85% is paid out automatically on every sale. Every new farm is reviewed manually before going live — once approved, you'll get a welcome email from contact@tryfarmerschoice.com and can log in to manage your farm.
What does it cost farmers?
No setup fees and no monthly charge — you only pay a small commission per sale, shown to you when you sign up. List your farm to see the details.
How long until my farm is approved?
After you register, your account is reviewed manually (usually within 24 hours) to keep the platform genuine. As soon as you're approved, you'll receive a welcome email from contact@tryfarmerschoice.com and can log in to manage your farm and products.
